This is due to obsolete patch that attempts to check whether the codecs are present but incompatible with modern Xine. The problem was spotted by a user (link to a google translation: http://translate.google.ru/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Funixforum.org%2Findex.php%3Fshowtopic%3D129841 ) I fixed the package in KDE:KDE3 repository, so it works well now and the fixed package has been accepted to Factory. Is it possible to make a maintenance update to openSUSE 12.1 as well? Thank you, I started an update for this issue.
I would like to deinstall kaffeine at all (because I prefer vlc), but always i do so and no kaffeine is installed anymore the apper ask me to apply a bug-fix for kde3-kaffeine.
