For example, running "display /usr/share/pixmaps/yast.png" gives a window flickering with 100% CPU. Also, show a big JPG file (like photo) with display, then resize it (e.g. View -> Half Size via left-click menu), then results in a flickering window. But, this could be rather depending on the X server. I can reproduce the problem on my laptop with Intel GM45 with a single screen (while the original one was other old intel chip). And, a similar problem appears with mozilla mplayer plugin. The video output flickers. Give a single script to gather all information, then I'm going to give the results back :) Some more inputs: - The problem appears also on nv driver, so no Intel-specific problem. - The problem disappears when downgraded to 6.4.3.6 on 11.2-M3. For example, this happens with icewm. But not with twm. So, this can be a problem of icewm. But, the old ImageMagick worked fine with icewm, so this is certain a regression, too.
