[Bug 960468] New: Shortly after upgrade to 38.5.0-70.71.1 Thunderbird is no longer getting new email messages
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=960468 Bug ID: 960468 Summary: Shortly after upgrade to 38.5.0-70.71.1 Thunderbird is no longer getting new email messages Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: tom.gossler@sigmanetworking.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 660613 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=660613&action=edit Screen shot of Thunderbird Subscribe window not working I received a few updates for yesterday (12/31/15) including an update for Thunderbird, a security fix for mozilla-nss (openSUSE-2015-978) and maybe a few others. Immediately after applying the updates via the Software Updater, Thunderbird no longer pulls new email messages. Previously the status bar would display when Thunderbird was connecting, connected, looking for folders, opening folder xxxx, etc.. Now all it says is connecting or connected. Also unable to subscribe to folders because the folder list cannot be refreshed (see attached screen shot). In the screen shot you can see in the left pane that the account has many folders beneath it, but the folders do not appear in the folder list after clicking Refresh on the Subscribe window. When I check log files on the email server I am connecting to, there are no messages showing that the machine even attempted to make a connection. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

For some reason DNS was returning an incorrect IP address for the email server being queried. This was discovered using dig [fqdn]. This issue will be closed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
