Suppose I have a yast package-management window minimised, and the download, for some reason, fails. Now Yast displays a dialog (Timeout, etc). This is indicated by the flashing of the window-entry in the task-bar. But on clicking the window-entry in the task-bar only the dialog is restored, not the whole parent window. Now say we click on OK in the dialog-box, Yast is supposed to show another dialog (Abort, Retry, Skip, etc.) which again does not show up (i.e. it remains minimised). One needs to click on the task-bar again to bring up the dialog-box (again parent window not restored), and so on until the last dialog has been answered. Now on clicking the task-bar entry the parent window finally shows up. For the package-management window, this leads to clicking the minimised window in the task-bar thrice at least, to bring up the entire window. The problem is true of any minimised application that throws a dialog.
