[Bug 866462] New: Bump Kernel to 3.12.13 Long Term Support Kernel
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=866462 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=866462#c0 Summary: Bump Kernel to 3.12.13 Long Term Support Kernel Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: timothy.m.butterworth@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/33.0.1750.117 Safari/537.36 As Kernel 3.11.10 is no longer support by The Linux Foundation and 3.12.x has become a long term support Kernel please bump openSUSE 13.1 up to 3.12.13. I have some hardware that may get correction due to regressions from reviewing the change logs. I have also been assisting some users with AMD/ATI A and E series hardware that are suffering from a number of lack of hardware support issues with 3.11.10, this will hopefully assist in their situations as well. As openSUSE 13.1 is an evergreen version tracking the latest long term support Kernel would align nicely. Currently I know one user of openSUSE 13.1 using an Acer AMD/ATI that is only able to get openSUSE to boot with failsafe. I encouraged him to submit a bug report but I am not sure if he has or not since I have not hear from him in a few days.
