[Bug 956180] Bios Device Naming is not functional
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=956180 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=956180#c5 --- Comment #5 from tom master <linreg@gmx.net> --- Sorry, i have not exact described that bug: openSUSE 13.2: All Hardware have get the biosdevname, virtual systems too! Leap 42.1: Only pure DELL Hardware-Systems becomme bios dev names! So when you upgrade a route or something similar (example VMs) without direct konsole access. you will get no access after upgrade. The Network Interfaces will be no longer a ens0p2, like on 13.2, but eth0 eth1 .. Solution: Is to activate the biosdevname for all Hardware or put a comment in the upgrade docu. so everybody can rename ifcfg-ens0p2 to eth0 after zypper dup before reboot. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
