[Bug 1099589] New: VirtualBox forgets status bar and toolbar
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1099589 Bug ID: 1099589 Summary: VirtualBox forgets status bar and toolbar Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Virtualization:Tools Assignee: virt-bugs@suse.de Reporter: frausenbruck@betriebsdirektor.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- After the latest Tumbleweed update/upgrade, the VirtualBox GUI forgets that I activated the status bar: The GUI now starts without the bars. I can still activate the bars via a right-click. If I now restart the GUI, it shows up again without the toolbar and the status bar. I've tried to change the corresponding settings in the file ".VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml". This works, but as soon as I quit the GUI, it resets my settings in the VirtualBox.xml. So now I have to activate the toolbar and the status bar after each start of the VirtualBox GUI. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

It has been at least two weeks since it happened to me. Some critical information is missing: 1. What is the host OS and VB version? 2. What desktop is the guest running? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Some critical information is missing: 1. What is the host OS and VB version?
I gave both information above: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20180627, VirtualBox 5.2.12_SUSE r122571. Please note that only the GUI is affected, not the window(s) with the guest OS. So ...
2. What desktop is the guest running?
... I'm not running any guest. The program "VirtualBox" has the bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yes, it's the regression mentioned by Wolfgang Bauer, thanks for the hint! [Ctrl+q] seems to work too. (I thought the description was clear enough, especially with the reference to the configuration file ;-) ) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
