[Bug 512815] New: Pulseaudio does not work
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=512815 Summary: Pulseaudio does not work Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: krange@lhup.edu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042700 SUSE/3.0.10-1.1.1 Firefox/3.0.10 Sorry for the poor summary, but I don't know what else to say. When I log in, I get a little window popping up about "falling back to default" audio hardware. Audio does not work. If I stop the sound system (/etc/rc.d/sound stop), kill pulseaudio, and start the sound system, programs like vlc work. If I start a KDE app, like Juk, it will work, play one song, and then hang. Sound is borked forver after until I do the little ritual above. I have a "nVidia Corporation MCP55 High Definition Audio" device. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Stop sound. 2. kill pulseaudio 3. start sound. Actual Results: Sound works, unless someone starts pulseaudio Expected Results: Sound should just work without having to kill pulseaudio. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
