[Bug 301699] New: Partitions of one (of two) hdd not shown
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=301699#c263239 Summary: Partitions of one (of two) hdd not shown Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 1 Platform: 32bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Johannes.Nohl@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer This may be related to Bug #263239. But this bug is marked as resolved. And it's about an upgrade, I try a new install. During installation I change the custom partition settings (with or without recommendation of mount points). The partitions are listed there but some are missing. No change if I choose reread partition table. My partition looks like this (according to parted which I run during Installation from different terminal to cross-check): /dev/sda: 1: FAT32 2: FAT32 3: SWAP (swap want to use) 4: Extended 5: FAT32 6: FAT32 /dev/sdb: 1: NTFS 2: ext3 (10.2 installation I want to overwrite) 3: NTFS Installer / partition editor doesn't show the partitions of the first disk. It's like: /dev/sda /dev/sdb /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdb2 /dev/sdb3 All partitions of first hdd are missing. I use an ASUS A8N5X. One hdd is connected to old IDE (sda) and the second S-ATA (sdb).
