[Bug 1080015] New: Mouse unusable under Wayland
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1080015 Bug ID: 1080015 Summary: Mouse unusable under Wayland Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: alexdws101@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello, I upgraded two days ago (snapshots 20180203 and 20180205 cumulated), after reboot at GDM login screen or inside GNOME session under Wayland I can only move cursor, I can't click and hovering an element doesn't do anything. I'm aware of Mesa update plus cache cleaning (20180207) to fix SDDM white screen issue but it doesn't solve my problem. Of course I tried with other mice. I don't have this issue under Xorg. I see that snapshot 20180203 provided a Mutter update bringing a lot of input changes, mostly about "touch" input, but could be related anyway. The weird thing is that I don't see anyone reporting this issue in factory mailing-list or Reddit for the moment, while SDDM issue was very discussed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Is this still reproducable after removing /usr/lib64/dri/virtio_gpu_dri.so?
I'm only seeing the issue with "virtio". So I tried this. It did not help. I have since restored the file. I'm doubting the suggested Mesa connection. If that were the issue, I would expect it to affect KDE-plasma as well as Gnome. But Wayland-plasma is working fine (or, at least, the mouse is working fine). I only see this problem with Wayland-Gnome. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

This problem is now showing up in Leap 15.0 Build 147.1. I am seeing it using a KVM virtual machine.
The fix was accepted, while we might need to wait for the next Leap build before mutter get updated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
