[Bug 437739] New: intel driver: messed up framebuffer shown before redraws.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=437739 Summary: intel driver: messed up framebuffer shown before redraws. Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: lverhaegen@novell.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com CC: aj@novell.com Found By: Development In beta3, with the intel driver, running KDE, when some actions are undertaken, the content of the framebuffer is completely messed up and displayed for a brief time before the redraw happens. While this is no functional issue, it is worrying for the user. It looks very much like the issues we saw when not blanking the CRTC on radeonhd during the first few months of radeonhd development. We saw the scrambled FB content, with FB layout changing, before the FB was properly filled again. And we then just had the CRTCs send out black instead and everyone was happy. AJ: can you give us some more information about the hardware, maybe attach an Xorg.0.log? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
