https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691080 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691080#c0 Summary: wlan doesn't work after awake from suspend (s2ram) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: mobile-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: pcfreddy@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b12) Gecko/20110222 Firefox/4.0b12 My Laptop is a eMachine E732G The output of s2ram -i is: Machine is unknown. This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "eMachines" sys_product = "eME732G" sys_version = "V1.01" bios_version = "V1.01" When I closed the Laptop opensuse 11.4 goes normaly in the sleepmode (s2ram). After I open the Laptop and press a key the system comes up, but the wlan does not work. Now I did this: I put a non-executable file names wlan.config in the directory of /etc/pm/config.d. In this file is standing the following syntax: SUSPEND_MODULES="ath9k" because my wlan-card is a Atheros Communications Inc. AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01). After rebooting the system it works all fine. Enjoy it. Please make an entry. Thanks. Great. But reloading the driver shall be the last resort. It would be good to find a little bit more details. Would it be possible to set debug option for ath9k [1], reload the ath9k driver, suspend/resume and post the /var/log/messages ? Truncate the /var/log/messages before the suspend. More details about ath9k are available [2]. Status of "rfkill list all" after the resume could be useful too. [1] # cat /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf options ath9k debug=0xffffffff [2] http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k/debug -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
