The strace -f php5 phpinfo.php does not load postgresql binaries, only the php5's extension and strings shows that both modules contains 8.4.4. The workaround is - rebuild php5 with postgresql 9.0. Cristian, I'm correct? As phpinfo() seems to be a global function, that gets called without any database connection context, it wouldn't even be able to tell you the server version, because it might get called at a point where no server connection exists, or you could actually have parallel connections to database servers running different versions.
