[Bug 230973] New: via velocity does not come back to life after suspend-to-disk
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=230973 Summary: via velocity does not come back to life after suspend- to-disk Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jnelson-suse@jamponi.net QAContact: qa@suse.de I have a via velocity (gig-e nic) which does not return fully to life after suspend-to-disk. I would guess it happens about 40% of the time, and the symptoms are: the NIC has link, has autonegotiated 1000MBit to the switch, but no traffic emanates from it. I can log into a console (as root) and issue: ifrenew-dhcp eth0 which appears to wake it back up sufficiently. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

To fix it properly.... I guess you should try to reproduce with latest vanilla kernel and report it at bugzilla.kernel.org? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
