https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=341843 Summary: SLED10 SP1 Failed to Printing certain Files, while it works for SLED10 without SP1 Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Commercial AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: fengyaoy@cn.ibm.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development I found this issue for 2 types of printers: (i) IBM infoprint 1552 (ii)IBM infoprinter color 1567. They are network printers. I install 'Generic PostScript Level2' drivers through CUPS/IPP or JetDirect way. I tried some printings. Most of the printings work fine, but certain failed. Here is an example. I do printing through the command line below, here 'MyPrinter' is the printer name, 'FailedToPrint.ps' is the file I try to print: lp -d MyPrinter FailedToPrint.ps I found (1) on SLED10 without SP1, the file could be printed correctly; (2) while on SLED10 SP1, the printing is failed. When I check the printing jobs througth 'http://localhost:631', the job status is 'aborted'. More information: On SLED SP1, if I use 'IBM infoprint 12' driver, instead of 'Generic PostScript Level2' driver, the bug will be gone. But it is still not good that the functionality working on SLED10 does not work on SLED10 SP1. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
