Whew, I got it back up and running. I'll (foolishly?:) try booting Xen again... after I cross all fingers and toes... and maybe burn a virgin for the EFI gods.

OK, after disconnecting all drives and inserting a DVD (which got the thing out of whatever EFI drunken stupor it was in), and redoing bios boot setup, all is well (whew). I can boot everything just fine. I don't think I _ever_ want to play with that efibootmgr thingy again though.
