Of course often I'm not able to see the wished site and if yes - links in it don't work. kmail shouldn't at all download this stuff but open the link-address in the browser! I don't want to always must copy and paste the links to the browser. I found out, that in kmail 1.9.6 (suse10.3) the problem is that in kcontrol KDE-Komponenten Komponentenauswahl there was not choosen any default-browser. I put firefox now and it works. (I think this point kcontrol KDE-Komponenten Komponentenauswahl doesn't fit well with kcontrol "Dateizuordnungen". ("file-type-mapping"?) (There also was (in suse10.3, in 11.2 it's ok) the problem, that with konqueror it was not possible to surf the internet if in Dateizuordnungen for html there was set firefox. Then konqueror opened links with firefox. Also there was no possibility to choose (rightclick on a link) open with konqueror... for some links.)) For suse 11.2 I did not yet try, in which way behaves systemsettings (instead of kcontrol).
