[Bug 1194426] New: Updating Tumbleweed destroys thunderbird config
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1194426 Bug ID: 1194426 Summary: Updating Tumbleweed destroys thunderbird config Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox Assignee: mozilla-bugs@suse.de Reporter: ginkobonsai@gmx.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:95.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/95.0 Build Identifier: Last night was the second time a zypper dup on Tumbleweed broke my thunderbird config. What happened: - Run zypper dup (during which thunderbird is upgraded?) - Reboot/shutdown - Open Thunderbird - Greeted by "Account Setup" form to enter my email address and setup Thunderbird. No sign of the account that was configured before the update. - Settings directory in home is still there and contains remnants of the old config, e.g. ~/.thunderbird/<profile>/ImapMail/imap.gmx.de. But thunderbird doesn't seem to use it. After the first time this happened a few weeks ago, I created a profile from scratch - but I'd rather not do that again every time thunderbird updates. Reproducible: Sometimes -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
