[Bug 732690] New: Flick open in GNOME Shell background options does nothing.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732690 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732690#c0 Summary: Flick open in GNOME Shell background options does nothing. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mike.willis@warwick.ac.uk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:8.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0.1 In the GNOME Shell Background options there is a drop down list on which one of the options Flickr. Selecting this option does not appear to do anything. No images appear to be selected. There is no apparent option to configure anything. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open 'System Settings' 2. Click Background. 3. Select Flickr from the drop down list. Actual Results: None. Expected Results: That it is somehow possible to select images hosted on Flickr for the background. There seems to be very, very, little information available about this feature except lots of Google hits for "There are some great new features in our system settings too, such as the ability to use Flickr images as desktop backgrounds." I have been unable to find any information on how it is supposed to work. When creating this bug report I selected 'SuSE Other' in the 'Operating System' drop down list because 'openSUSE 12.1' is not listed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Actually, libsocialweb needs front end to config accounts, e.g. bisho in MeeGo. The online-accounts panel in gnome-control-center probably serves the same purpose, but only google and twitter are enabled in gnome-online-accounts. No sure if the yahoo plugin in goa works or not.
The issue is that goa is actually a new framework, different from libsocialweb. So that wouldn't help. We discussed this on irc a few weks ago, and I think the best solution is to stop compiling with libsocialweb support for now... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I just try to change the spec file of gnome-online-account, and it have a 'Yahoo' Account Type, but it prompt "Error creating account,Error getting a Request Token: Forbidden". --enable-yahoo \ --with-yahoo-consumer-key=$YAHOO_KEY \ --with-yahoo-consumer-secret=$YAHOO_SECRET \ And after view the flickr's API (http://www.flickr.com/services/api/auth.oauth.html) , it's difference with Yahoo's API. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
