[Bug 490048] New: Constant crashes and freezes of Firefox and KDE 3.5

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=490048 Summary: Constant crashes and freezes of Firefox and KDE 3.5 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: volvo@dermichael.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009022800 SUSE/3.0.7-1.1 Firefox/3.0.7 Hello! I have a rather annoying problem that apparently flash content viewed in Firefox (and other browsers) causes the web browser to frequently crash. Sometimes KDE simply restarts (goes back to the logon screen) and also very annoying freezes (where only the reset button helps). I have just attempted to freshly install openSuse 11.0 on my PC, but the problem persists, even after the new installation. All the latest updates are installed. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open web browser 2.Go to site with flash content (youtube) 3.Hang around and sooner or later the browser crashes, or system freezes etc... Actual Results: The browser crashes without warning, KDE restarts or the system freezes After new install of opensuse I have flash-player-9.0.124.0-10.1 Before the new installation I had Flash 10.something. Problem was the same.
