The checkbox is ticked by default although I've configued the smtp account to not store the password. The checkbox also is checked again the next time the dialog comes up so kmail never remembers my decission. KMail calls KWallet on exit (File -> Quit). It is attempt to store or use password. I can imagine that either KMail sends wrong signal to KWallet, or KWallet takes sgnal that KMail is quiting as request to be opened. Taking previous comment, it would be the first case. Reporoduction: Close KWallet. Open kde4-kmail and right after quit. KWallet passsword request pops up.
