This seems like a relatively simple addition, and is already demonstrated to work in the home:olh repo.
What's the interest/chance of seeing this addition in 'Virtualization' any time soon?
There is interest. We just have some other priorities at the moment that need our attention.
I won't 'depend' on a home: repo for production. If it's "not soon", ok & I'll switch to my own builds from upstream source.
I'd prefer to stick with Opensuse solutions here, so just would appreciate knowing any timeframe.
The repo you are pointing at pulls down a version of ovmf and builds it within the Xen sources. As Jim mentioned in comment #1, we think it is preferable to use a system provided version of ovmf instead of a Xen bundled version. At this point a system ovmf is not included in Factory/Tumbleweed. This is currently being investigated internally to determine if there are any licensing problems including it with the distro. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

The work of getting this in the distro is in progress but not via the Xen package.
ovmf-enabled Xen package has been submitted to the Virtualization project
sadly the distro ovmf package is currently broken with Xen HVM.
Since *this* bug was closed as 'invalid', do you have some bug #s for these so we can follow progress/status? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
