Because updates were avaiable. As I started my PC today at first I could not start any application. The KDE desctop wos there. The PC worked neerly half an hour with no success. Nothing happened. After restart the screen was black. Only the mouse coursor was there. My solution was a new installation of 11.4. on the system partition from the DVD. The rescue system didn´t work, neither the upgrade from the DVD, only the new installation. I dont know, if this will happen again with the next update. My system Linux 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop x86_64; openSUSE 11.4 (x86_64); 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6"; nVidia Corporation: C77 [GeForce 8100 / nForce 720a] driver: nouveau; CPU AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ RAM: 3,6 GiB Best regards Wolfgang -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Reports against openSUSE 11.4 and prior will not get the attention needed to resolve them before openSUSE 12.2 is release and openSUSE 11.4 becomes unmaintained. Please re-test with openSUSE 12.1 or openSUSE RC2+ and re-open with an updated Product if you still encounter your issue. We apologize for this issue not getting the attention it deserves but we are focusing our resources in the area where they will have the most impact for our users. We're working hard to make openSUSE 12.2 the best openSUSE release yet! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
