What about support for HiDPI fonts FONT_TER16x32 for console display in early boot stage, as mentioned here
for Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1819881 https://askubuntu.com/questions/1105052/hidpi-console-font-non-interactive
and for openSUSE https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-bugs/2019-06/msg02296.html
Yes, it makes sense to me. And lets reassign to kernel dev team first to know their opinions for this. For the boot menu, it looks to me dimmed screen on battery power has impact on the look-and-feel and TBH it is very hard to fine tune based on each monitor's characteristic (brightness/contrast/gamma and so on). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
