[Bug 988837] New: flatpak-builder can't be installed in TW - nothing provides /usr/bin/tar
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=988837 Bug ID: 988837 Summary: flatpak-builder can't be installed in TW - nothing provides /usr/bin/tar Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: os.gnome.maintainers@gmail.com Reporter: robert.munteanu@gmail.com QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- $ wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Next/openSUSE_Factory/x86_6... $ sudo zypper in flatpak-builder-0.6.7-4.1.x86_64.rpm Retrieving repository 'packman' metadata ..........................................................[done] Building repository 'packman' cache ...............................................................[done] Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Resolving package dependencies... Problem: nothing provides /usr/bin/tar needed by flatpak-builder-0.6.7-4.1.x86_64 Solution 1: do not install flatpak-builder-0.6.7-4.1.x86_64 Solution 2: break flatpak-builder-0.6.7-4.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies Not sure why the package required /usr/bin/tar instead of /bin/tar, but installation with --nodeps results in a working package. (BTW, it would be great to see it in Factory instead of 'just' a devel repo) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

GNOME:Next is not even a devel project - it's a pre-devel playground.. there is very good reason why this package did not move out of there yet: for one, it's not ready :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
