https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726161 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726161#c0 Summary: kdebase4-runtime: Unknown media type in type Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: vuntz@suse.com Depends on: 726015 Blocks: 726160 Found By: Beta-Customer Blocker: --- +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #726015 +++ I noticed that several packages cause warnings in their %post script. Those warnings are caused by update-mime-database. Reproducer: # /usr/bin/update-mime-database "/usr/share/mime" Unknown media type in type 'all/all' Unknown media type in type 'all/allfiles' Unknown media type in type [...] One of these warnings is caused by /usr/share/mime/packages/network.xml (from the kdebase4-runtime package). It contains the probably invalid mimetypes (see bug 726015#c1) uri/mm Please remove or replace it with a valid mimetype. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726161 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726161#c2 --- Comment #2 from Christopher Sylvain <chris.sylvain@gmail.com> 2011-12-02 23:03:09 UTC --- more info: all of the offending entries are in /usr/share/mime/packages/kde.xml and commenting them out eliminates the unknown media type messages. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

It is being worked on to remove this mimetypes for KDE frameworks, however for KDE 4 this is probably wontfix. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
