Well, if it's possible for you then you can try it.

In view of the fact that I'm not able to reproduce it, we need to know whether/under which conditions it's reproducible. Then we have a chance to find out where the problem is.

To be quite honest I rather not uninstall mariaDB on my laptop because it's working near perfect now otherwise that opens up a new can of worms if you know what I mean. Instead I have a desktop 32-bit running OpenSUSE 13.2 (32-bit), which I can install mariaDB on and see if it automatically installs libjemalloc library. Would this be satisfactory? David A.
