It is impossible to completely turn the LCD screen off. Using the command "xset dpms force off",the screen becomes black, but after a few seconds, I can seen backlight restarting. So, nothing is displayed but the screen is on (--> no energy saved). It is caused by the screensaver. A way to "solve" it, is simply to disable the screensaver.
