Using KDE and launching the xen VMM from the main menu. If I have booted the machine on the Normal Linux kernel the VMM will not launch. However there is no error message or any indication of what is wrong. Some error dialog at this point would be good indicating the VMM has detected an incorrectly configured kernel. After posting this enhancement request I changed the boot loader default to the Xen kernel :-) I am experimenting with Xen as a replacement for VMWare so have VM CLients running on a KDE laptop for some development work etc. so use the GUI here. Once the budget becomes available for a new server I will be installing Xen and several VMs on that and probably be using the CLI there. Tools such as virt-manager, virsh, etc. need to work equally well with Xen or default kernel (KVM).
