[Bug 431769] New: gnome-networkmanager (nm-applet) doesn't accept .p12 ( pkcs12) certificate
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=431769 Summary: gnome-networkmanager (nm-applet) doesn't accept .p12 (pkcs12) certificate Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: zajec5@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- My administrator provides me certificate for WPA-EAP in .p12 format which is pkcs12. To use this certificate in nm-applet I have to change format to .pem: openssl pkcs12 -in raf\@poznan.pl.p12 -out new.pem It would be nice to have .p12 working in nm-applet out of box, without converting it into supported .pem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Which one should be used for client certificate? CA certificate? private key? There are no graphical tools (that I know of) on Linux that provide UI to PKCS#12 containers and it is clearly out of scope of NetworkManager to provide one. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
