I would like to suggest that when a laptop install is detected, when the network card(s) are initially configured that they are set to initialize On Connection, rather than On Boot. On Boot really doesn't make a lot of sense with a laptop, and it would just be one less thing to chase down during post-install. Okay; I can see that, now that I've read-up on the new NetworkManager package.
Only what I can do is better document this behavior. Do you agree with that?
Yes, please. I've run seriously afoul of NetworkManager these past several days. I didn't realize you shouldn't define interfaces to ifplugd on install if the connections were to be dynamic/user managed. So, both NetworkManager and ifplugd ended up trying to manage same network interfaces.
