This is a regression against util-linux-2.21.2-1.1 (the version included in openSUSE 12.2 Beta 1) and also against the version used in openSUSE 12.1. Steps to reproduce ------------------ 1. Run openSUSE 12.2 Beta 1 GNOME live CD. 2. Run YaST, select Samba Server. 3. Click Next twice in the wizard and OK on the final screen, enter "linux" as a root password. 4. Start the servers: # rcnmb start # rcsmb start 5. Install util-linux from factory (the exact version I tested with: 2.21.2-2.1): # zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss factory-oss # zypper ref # zypper up util-linux 5. Mount a share: # mkdir /mnt/smb # mount -t cifs //127.0.0.1/users /mnt/smb -o user=root,password=linux 6.
