[Bug 402014] New: Cannot configure iscsi boot.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402014 Summary: Cannot configure iscsi boot. Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Keywords: Install Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hiroshi-n@iname.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- OpenSUSE 10.3 can be configured to boot from iSCSI volume with Intel Server Adaptor Pro 1000/MT + iSCSI boot firmware. By specifying "withiscsi=1" as installation option, OpenSUSE 10.3 correctly reads iBFT information and connects the iscsi target set in the firmware. OpenSUSE 11.0 also reads iBFT information and shows it in the iBFT tabpane, but fails in connecting the iscsi target. Evn with "add" operation, it never connects to the specified the target. No matter which DHCP or fixed IP address is specified, it never succeeds. Pinging from another machine also fails ( in case fixed IP address is give ). So I guess that OpenSUSE 11.0 does not initialize the NIC as specified by iBFT or manually. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
