The default green SUSE wallpaper isn't listed in the plasma-appletrc file. It lists my custom wallpaper. And when I add the two lines that are recommended, they get deleted when I log out of KDE. Rebooted and got back the SUSE green desktop but still no icons/plasmoids. I was able to add three plasmoids but when I closed the plasmoid tool, I had a pop up that said "The file /home/kevin/kde4/config/plasma-applerc was created by another program." I chose view details and the new file was much shorter and different than the original. I then chose ignore so I still have the original appletrc file.
