That is probably neccessary because hermes is pretty busy and a api call to either users.o.o or api.o.o would be probably killing. I think we would need one instance that takes the email from ichain (or other authen system ??) and push it to other parts of the ecosystem such as hermes or users.o.o. I would love to have this functionality in users.o.o instead of api but since people probably do not log in in users.o.o as often as they do in the OBS it is probably something to do in the api. The 'real' solution would be to have an edirectory trigger doing the push.
