You can choose only one of the two methods 'Network Manager' and 'ifup' to manange your network. If you want to change hostname through yast, please choose 'ifup' in the global options tab of YaST -> Network Devices -> Network Settings. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Cause it just call the kernel's API sethostname(), so it just valid in running environment, it won't save to configuration file for next boot. And if you wanna change the hostname, you need change it from Yast. Or edit /etc/HOSTNAME. ->Invalid. Thanks for your report. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
