https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=873704 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=873704#c0 Summary: Audio: Using headset jack causes short-circuits and creaky noise Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@suse.com ReportedBy: svollath@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=586419) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=586419) Logs (alsa-info, hwinfo, ...) OS: openSUSE 12.3 with all updates (packman rpms: see list attch.) Hardware: Sony VAIO SVS13A1C5E When plug headphones or speakers into the headset jack of my notebook, creaky sounds appear since end of February 2014 - was not the case before. This does not happen using the same hardware, running Win7. It does not happen, if I set the microphone on "Mute". I assume, that normally the headset jack only is enabled, if the plug is attached completely - maybe the respective switch isn't respected anymore, and all contacts are active all the time - software-wise. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
