[Bug 631554] New: Problem with AVM B1 PCI Card
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=631554 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=631554#c0 Summary: Problem with AVM B1 PCI Card Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: ISDN AssignedTo: jeffm@novell.com ReportedBy: info@rockels.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; de; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 After configuring the ISDN setup for my active AVM Fritz B1 PCI card with Yast, the system gets very slow. This is true for startup and shutdown as well. The system log shows the following warnings: Diasbling IRQ #3 "udevd-work: kernel-provided name 'capi' and NAME='capi20' disagree, please sue SYMLIK+= or change the kernel to provide the proper name" capiinfo shows the correct AVM controller. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Yast, go to the ISDN setup 2. Some ISDN controller (contr0) is detected as 'unknown'. Type can not be corrected to AVM B1 PCI 3. Add an ISDN controller AVM B1 PCI manually (contr1) 4. Save setup: System shows error messages and starts to crawl. 5. Removal of the AVM brings the system back to normal speed. Actual Results: The ISDN subystem seems to work (surprisingly). But the decrease in speed renders the system nearly useless. Expected Results: - No 'unknown' ISDN controller shown in Yast. - Auto-detected AVM B1 card shown in Yast. - No error messages. - No system degradation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm sorry but I have no other option than to close the bug. If you happen to have this bug in recent versions of openSUSE, I suggest to try to find on the openSUSE mailing lists someone who is able to handle the bug - it seems, that no YaST-specific knowledge is needed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
