[Bug 1054425] boot hangs on loading initial ramdisk after upgrade to kernel 4.4.79-19-default
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1054425 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1054425#c4 --- Comment #4 from Denis Polom <denis.polom@suse.com> --- (In reply to Takashi Iwai from comment #3)
Try to bood without "quiet" boot option and disabling plymouth via "plymouth.enable=0" boot option. This may give a bit more information.
this didn't change anything while trying to boot to new kernel still hangs on initram. Verbose booting works only if booted to old kernel.
Another try would be to boot with nomodeset boot option -- in the case it's a GPU-related bug.
didn't help
Also, give the hardware details, e.g. attach hwinfo output to Bugzilla, and the dmesg output of a fresh boot with the last working kernel.
attached thank you -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
