But only the VGA is used. The DVI port on the videocard is not connected. Unfortunately I don't have a monitor with DVI connector available to check if that one would get detected when connected to the DVI port. However the DVI connector on the videocard looks like an DVI port which supports analog output. From this last log it seems that DDC is just probed twice for the same output, just at different points during startup.

I'm sure the driver used to be this slow before too, but KDM probably didn't give up on it. I have seen some other reports of this as well, and they are all about drivers which, for different reasons, are wasting time somewhere. These issues cannot all be fixed.
