This is caused by the fact that kmail looses one line when writing it's configuration. In ~/.kde4/share/config there is a file called "mailtransports". Within it, the entry host=/usr/sbin/senmail is missing though configured via kmail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.configure sendmail as email transpor agent for kmail, 2. try to send a message :-( 3. Applying it and rebuilding kdepim as well ensures that the "host" string is written into mailtransports as neccessary. This fix has been provided by a kde-developer and found it's way into upstream sources. Nevertheless this bug should be fixed in the openSUSE source tree as it is annoying.
