On activating "Enable" a message box is displayed, stating: "/etc/init.d/smbfs start returned 6 (program is not configured):" Re-checking yast2 samba-client doesn't show anything peculiar. One of the major issues for Linux on Desktop, is seamless integration into existing Windows Networks. Not sure why this is acted upon so sluggish.
