Ar starting up from hardddisk, the progress on the screen shows it is at "HAL" and then the screen blanks (monitor stays active, not in standby) and cannot be revived. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install from DVD 2. reboot after first install 3. wait till screen blanks Hardware: core duo CPU. 4GB memory, asus striker extreme-1 MB, NV-8800GTX video card. Tested it with Virtualbox 3.24: no problems of this kind.
