this is a opensuse11.0 install with updates installed. While checking logs i
noticed:

Aug  8 11:34:43 xxxx pulseaudio[3115]: pid.c: Stale PID file, overwriting.
Aug  8 11:34:43 xxxx pulseaudio[3115]: main.c: setrlimit(RLIMIT_NICE, (31, 31))
failed: operation not permitted
Aug  8 11:34:43 xxxx pulseaudio[3115]: main.c: setrlimit(RLIMIT_RTPRIO, (9, 9))
failed: operation not permitted

this may related to bug 347822
