[Bug 804357] New: CLEAR_TMP_DIRS_AT_BOOTUP is no longer effective
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=804357 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=804357#c0 Summary: CLEAR_TMP_DIRS_AT_BOOTUP is no longer effective Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: geoff@cs.hmc.edu QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0 The /etc/sysconfig/cron variable CLEAR_TMP_DIRS_AT_BOOTUP no longer has any effect. This is because /etc/init.d/boot.cleanup no longer gets run during boot, thanks to the conversion to systemd. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set CLEAR_TMP_DIRS_AT_BOOTUP to yes 2. Create some files in /tmp 3. Reboot Actual Results: /tmp still has the files Expected Results: /tmp should have been emptied On any long-running system with MAX_DAYS_IN_TMP set, this is a minor problem since the files will still eventually get cleaned. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

As "MAX_DAYS_IN_TMP" does not work anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
