[Bug 461603] New: Intel i915 graphics extremely slow.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461603 Summary: Intel i915 graphics extremely slow. Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: nine@detonation.org QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Since upgrading to openSUSE 11.1 graphics on my Intel GM965/GL 960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c) on my Dell Latitude D630 laptop is extremely slow. Running vi in a full screen konsole with two files open takes about a second to redraw after switching konsole tabs. Running kontact with my mailbox open produces considerable CPU load just by redrawing the window. I'm not using compiz or any other compositing manager and running KDE 3. I removed my xorg.conf and created a new one with SaX2, because without, the X-server does not recognize any input devices. Downgrading xorg-x11-server, xorg-x11-driver-video and xorg-x11-driver-input to the versions from openSUSE 11.0 fixes the performance problems for me. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
