In the case of USB-audio, the mixer names are parsed from the USB descriptor. If the USB descriptor is a crap (often so), the driver can't give you a proper mixer name. But in general it's safe to stick only with the playback flag. So we will only be able to verify this fix in SLES SP1. Will the same patch be present in SLED when it comes out?
