It is a document from the Spanish administration (Modelo TA.2/S - Solicitud de alta, baja y variación de datos del trabajador por cuenta ajena o asimilada, http://www.seg-social.es/Internet_1/Empresarios/Inscripcion/Servicios/Modelo...) I will attach a photo of the difference: when I click on some boxes, on some I get nothing, on other I get '$' instead of 'X'. Both fc-match "DejaVuSans" and fc-match "DejaVu Sans" will find the font if it is installed. But fc-list "DejaVuSans" will list nothing, only when the correct name with the space is used like fc-list "DejaVu Sans" the font will be listed. I.e. omitting spaces in font names works with fc-match but not with fc-list. *And* it works only if the fonts really exist. If "Zapf Dingbats" is not installed, the rule from /etc/fonts/conf.d/30-urw-aliases <alias binding="same"> <family>Zapf Dingbats</family> <accept><family>Dingbats</family></accept> </alias> matches only when the correct name with the space is used. This rule could easily be changed to <alias binding="same"> <family>ZapfDingbats</family> <family>Zapf Dingbats</family> <accept><family>Dingbats</family></accept> </alias> Then both fc-match "Zapf Dingbats" and fc-match "ZapfDingbats" will work. I don’t know that whether this is desirable or not.
