FF4 always crashes whenever I tried to synchronize everything to a weave server. From what I found on https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-b7a1998b-3fe1-4a1a-b1a5-a3a3... there are other people having the same problem. The official Mozilla builds are OK. I recompiled (with gcc-4.6 from the gcc repository) everything related (mozilla-nspr, mozilla-nss, MozillaFirefox-4, mozilla-xulrunner20) using openSuSEâÂÂs RPMs. So I deactivated all openSUSE specific patches in * MozillaFirefox-4.0 except - firefox-libxulsdk-locales.patch * mozilla-xulrunner20 except - mozilla-nongnome-proxies.patch - mozilla-kde.patch - mozilla-gcc46.patch These patches were needed to build or install Mozilla Firefox and mozilla-xulrunner20. The other two packages I left untouched. Using the modified MozillaFirefox-4.0 package alone did not help, but installing the above mentioned modified packages solved the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click <Firefox>, then "Jetzt synchronisieren" (synchronize now) 2. Fill in the crash report for the mozilla folks (not required) 3. Click on "Restart" or "Quit" Actual Results: The crash report is send immediately. The restart works fine. This is long known and a gcc bug in the version for 11.3. There was even released an online update for that and the Firefox which was built previously in mozilla:beta was configured to build against the update.
