I can reproduce the error with this setting. Just for interest, where does this file comes from ?

OK thanks for letting me know. I created that file. I've just now realised that it *should* be in /etc and not /usr/etc.... I'm surprised it even works, the systemd documentation ( https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/latest/environment.d.html ) doesn't even list the directory I used, as being valid. I hope that my mistake isn't the cause of this!
